B+I’s CEO and Partner, Sabin Azua, delivered two public addresses in Argentina on the role of Technology Parks in the Competitiveness of Regions. Under the auspices of, and financed by, the Inter-American Development Bank, the events were organised as part of a collaboration project with the Provincial Government of Mendoza to assess the province’s Technology Parks.
With members of government, business people, and representatives from academia and a variety of institutions in attendance, the first of the two addresses was delivered at the Enoteca of the provincial capital. At the event, which was sponsored by the Ministry of Agroindustry and Technology of the Provincial Government of Mendoza, Mr Azua spoke about current international trends with a bearing on competitiveness and their impact on companies, the role played by territories as enclaves of competitiveness, as well as the role of technology parks as a motor for economic development.
Speaking to a similar audience, Mr Azua’s second address was delivered at the Mayoralty of Maipú, and focused on the role of industrial parks as an instrument of competitiveness.
