Conducted by B+I Strategy’s Igor Revilla, the workshop ‘Developing services offer in the capital goods sector: What, why and how’, was held on Thursday 22nd January in Barcelona.
In participation were close to 20 companies, mainly machine manufacturers and member of CEQUIP and AMEC (Assoc. of Capital Goods Producers & Association of Medium-sized Internationalized Industrial Companies of Catalonia). Opinions and practical experiences were shared after starting off with an overview of existing knowledge from around the world around on how industrial companies develop their services, and what the keys to success are. Amongst others, such topics were discussed as development alternatives for small and medium-sized OEMs; power relations with clients and larger suppliers; difficulties in receiving payment; and the relationship between goods and services with Internet technologies.
This is the first in a series of encounters which we have planned for the coming months with the goal of disseminating and substantiating the research project undertaken in recent months. Click here for further information (Spanish).
