On 11th February, Sabin Azua, CEO and Partner of B+I Strategy, gave a talk entitled "Global Challenges for Basque Companies: The Keys to Competitiveness" at the Faculty of Economics and Business (Sarriko Campus, Bilbao) as part of the Programme on Digital Transformation.
With senior students from the degree programme and Business Administration in attendance, this programme is a key event for the Department of Family Business. It was jointly sponsored by the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce, the Confederation of Businesses of Bizkaia (CEBEK), and the Chair of Family Business of the Public Basque University (UPV/EHU), with the collaboration of the Provincial Government of Bizkaia.
During his talk, Sabin Azua analysed the changes currently taking place in the business competitive scene and the main contributions by management thinkers in terms of the new competitiveness paradigms. Additionally, he delved into the various forms of business which are emerging and which have a capacity for developing competitive business models. In closing, Mr Azua proposed some ideas about the combination of elements to improve business competitiveness which ultimately materialise in true social commitment.
Finally, a round-table discussion took place at the end of the session in which the students were able to express their viewpoints and concerns regarding the ideas raised during the talk.
