On 10th November the XIV TOPAKETAK encounter was held on the premises of Azpeitia Town Council. Organised by Iraurgi Berritzen (the agency for the socio-economic promotion and innovation of the Urola Erdia region of Gipuzkoa), the event is essentially intended to be the annual gathering of the various players who are working towards a transformation of the region.
The encounter was opened by Ainhoa Aizpuru, the person in charge of Economic Promotion, Rural and Territorial Affairs of the Provincial Government of Gipuzkoa, and who also presented the strategic collaborative projects currently in progress between a number of companies and players in the region.
The specific goals set out for the event were:
- to share experiences with current and recent strategic projects undertaken with the collaboration of various players;
- to compare the analysis of the current unemployment situation in the region;
- to reiterate the priorities of the action plan to be implemented by government, and in collaboration with companies and training centres in order to determine steps to be taken in future.
B+I Strategy's Sabin Azua and Oscar Valdivielso jointly moderated a thinking session with over 40 representatives from the spheres of politics, economics and education regarding future opportunities in terms of boosting the economy and quality employment in the region.
