Olatz Campo holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Management from Deusto Business School – University of Deusto. She also holds a first degree in Business Management and Administration from the same institution, with her senior year being completed at the University of Stockholm as part of the Erasmus Programme. Fully bi-lingual (Spanish/Basque) and having earned the corresponding official Basque Proficiency Diploma (EGA), she is also highly proficient in English. In July 2004, Olatz became a consultant at BearingPoint (formerly Arthur Andersen), and soon after she went on to join the B+I Strategy team as an Associate in September 2005.
Over these years, Olatz has worked on projects to define and implement Strategic Plans, innovation plans, and innovation management systems in a variety of organisations. She has also carried out feasibility studies for new businesses, competitiveness plans, sector studies and market studies, along with other types of projects.
Amongst some of Olatz’s main clients are such companies as: Elecnor Group and some of its subsidiaries (Atersa, Adhorna, etc.); Caja Rural de Navarra (Savings Bank); Naturgas Energía; Liberty Group; and Iparlat. She has also undertaken projects for: the Basque Government; the Regional Government of La Rioja; the Provincial Government of Bizkaia, along with other players such as Adegi (Business Association of Gipuzkoa); Innobasque (Basque Innovation Agency); Basque-Navarre Association of Professional Architects; and FEVAS (Basque Federation Supporting the Intellectually Impaired); and Government of Catalonia Trade and Investment Agency.
Furthermore, Olatz has delivered seminars and taught courses on Strategy and Innovation, in addition to her regular teaching in the 5th year course ‘Strategic Management’ at Deusto Business School - University of Deusto, as well as on the Master’s Programme in Research, Consulting and Social Innovation at the same institution. Finally, she has spoken at international fora and collaborates on various research projects undertaken by B+I Strategy.
