Lucía Hidalgo holds a Master’s Degree in Management Development and a First Degree in Business Management and Administration from Deusto Business School – University of Deusto. She completed an internship with B+I Strategy during her senior year as part of the University’s Full-day Internship Programme, going on to become a member of the B+I Strategy consulting team in July 2010.
During her career at B+I Strategy, Lucía has participated on numerous projects of a diverse nature, specialising in the following areas: Projects aimed at Strategic Thinking and planning for private and public organisations; Economic Impact Surveys; market analysis and benchmarking; sector diagnostics; design and development of assessment in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) design and drafting of CSR Reports, having published various articles on the topic (‘Corporate Social Responsibility: Business commitment or marketing strategy?’; ‘Is there competitive life beyond CSR?’).
Additionally, Lucía has worked mainly in the areas of health – biosciences; food industry; energy; insurance; industry; finance; higher education; utilities, port sector and local government. Amongst her main private sector clients are: IMQ Seguros; Laboral Kutxa; Elecnor; Adhorna; Natra Group; Indar Electric – Ingeteam; Barna; Zánitas – Proeza Group (Mexico), and Leartiker.
Amongst Lucía’s public sector clients are: The Office for Health Research and Innovation of the Basque Ministry of Health; the Basque Ministry of Housing; the Basque Ministry of Public Works and Transportation. She has also worked with a large number of public entities such as Consorcio de Aguas de Bizkaia (the Water Supply Management Board of Bizkaia); Bilbao Port Authority; Science and Technology Parks of Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Álava; the Basque Food Cluster; Hazi Fundazioa; Lantik; Innobasque (Basque Innovation Agency); the Social Council of the Public Basque University (UPV/EHU); CICtourGUNE; Azaro Fundazioa; Amurrio Bidean Agency; and the ELIGE Network (Local Companies of General Interest).
Furthermore, she has participated on several participatory dynamics based on ‘Emergent Thinking’ Methodology with such organisations as the Consorcio de Aguas - the Water Supply Management Board of Bizkaia, Hazi Fundazioa, Lantik, and Natra, amongst others.
Finally, Lucía has taught on the University of Deusto 2014-2016 Master’s Programme in Research, Consulting and Social Innovation, as well as being a co-ordinator for the “Strategic Management” course during the 2011-2012 academic year offered at Deusto Business School – University of Deusto. Lucía also leads training and awareness sessions in Corporate Social Responsibility on a regular basis.
