Lucía Hidalgo

Lucia Hidalgo holds a Master’s Degree in Management Development and a First Degree in Business Management and Administration from Deusto Business School – University of Deusto. During her senior year, she completed an internship with B+I Strategy as part of the University’s Full-day Internship Programme, going on to become a member of the B+I Strategy consulting team in July 2010. Aside from having earned the Cambridge Advanced Certificate in English, Lucia is currently enrolled in the MBA programme: ThePowerMBA – Business Expert.
Over the last decade with the B+I Strategy team of consultants, Lucía has participated on numerous projects of a diverse nature, specialising in the following areas: Projects aimed at Strategic Thinking and planning for private and public organisations; Defining Public Policy; Economic Impact Surveys; market analysis; benchmarking and sectorial diagnostics; Participative Group Dynamic Projects based on "Emergent Thinking" methodology; Design, development and assessment of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and, having published various articles on the topic (‘Corporate Social Responsibility: Business commitment or marketing strategy?’; ‘Is there (competitive) life beyond CSR?’).
Additionally, Lucia has worked principally in the areas of healthcare – biosciences; food industry; energy; insurance; industry; finance; higher education; utilities, port sector and local government. Amongst her main private sector clients are: IMQ Seguros (private healthcare provider); Laboral Kutxa (savings bank); Elecnor; Adhorna; Natra Group; Indar Electric; Ingeteam; NIPSA Engineering; Estudios y Proyectos; Barna; Guggenheim Museum Bilbao; TUK Industries (Mexico); Zánitas – Proeza Group (Mexico).
Amongst Lucia’s public sector clients are: The Basque Government (the Office for Health Research and Innovation of the Basque Ministry of Health; the Basque Ministry of Housing; the Basque Ministry of Public Works and Transportation). She has also worked with a large number of public entities such as The Provincial Government of Bizkaia – Department of Public Administration and Institutional Relations; Consorcio de Aguas de Bizkaia (the Water Supply Management Board of Bizkaia); Bilbao Port Authority; EVE – Basque Energy Agency; Sprilur; Hazi Fundazioa; Lantik; Amurrio Bidean Agency, and the ELIGE Network (Local Companies of General Interest).
Some other important clients and knowledge agents who Lucia has worked with are such organisations as: the Basque Food Cluster; Science and Technology Parks of Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Alava; Mondragon Unibertsitatea, the Social Council of the Public Basque University (UPV/EHU); Azaro Fundazioa; Leartiker, Innobasque (Basque Innovation Agency), etc.

Finally, Lucia has been involved in various teaching endeavours. She taught on the University of Deusto 2014-2016 Master’s Programme in Research, Consulting and Social Innovation. In addition, she has acted as co-ordinator for the “Strategic Management” course during the 2011-2012 academic year offered at Deusto Business School – University of Deusto, as well as supervising full-time practicum students at the university. Lucia also leads training and awareness sessions in Corporate Social Responsibility on a regular basis.
