Ana Avendaño holds a first degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto Business School, with the last year of her programme having been completed at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (the Paris Higher Business School) as part of the Erasmus Programme. In 2007, she attended the Business Competitiveness and Regional Development course given jointly by the Basque Institute of Competitiveness and Harvard Business School.

Ana has over ten years’ experience in the field of consultancy. She started her professional career with KPMG Consulting, after which she moved to BearingPoint in July 2003, where she specialized in the areas of strategy, competitiveness, and innovation. In 2005, Ana joined B+I Strategy as a partner.

Throughout her professional career, Ana has worked on projects in various areas: strategic plans for businesses, competitiveness studies and plans, developing models for knowledge management, and market studies. Ana has worked in both the public and private sectors, and has experience in such sectors as renewable energy sources, industrial assets, insurance, or information technologies. Her main clients include: Guascor Group, CAF Group, Elecnor Group, Seguros Bilbao, Microsoft, the Basque Government, and the Government of Catalonia.

Ana occasionally delivers courses and seminars on Strategy and Management, and she has written several articles on the subject. Ana has lectured at the University of Deusto Business School, and participates in the coaching programme organized by that same institution.
